hydrophobic agent: Silane Based Hydrophobic Powder

SCH 86 is silicone based hydrophobic powder, which is composed of powder carrier, colloidal coating material and dispersable active silicone ingredients. The colloidal coating material can keep the active hydrophobic ingredient stable in the powder and release timely after added with water. This product is used in all kinds of base materials that need to prevent water to penetrate, especially in cement-based dry powder materials, to improve the hydrophobicity and water resistance of the materials themselves.

SCH 86 can increase the hydrophobic effect of cementitious materials, significantly reduce the water absorption for mortar, and specifically mitigate the efflorescence problem. The recommended dosage of SCH 86 in mortar is 0.2~1% of total, which does not influence the final compressive and flexural strength of mortar.
