Liquid Potassium Silicate For Inorganic Paint

Potassium silicate, also known as potassium water glass, is a colorless to light color, transparent or translucent viscous liquid. Potassium silicate is soluble in water and alkaline solution, but insoluble in alcohol and organic solvent. The higher the moduli of potassium silicate, the higher the viscosity and strength, the better the water resistance, and less good film-forming property; and vice versa.

The chemical formula of potassium silicate is K₂O · mSiO₂ · nH₂O, m and n differ by different grades, based on moduli, concentration and other factors etc. Owe to novel production process, XT-K series of product offer versatile grades, excellent transparent and colorless appearance, stable and brilliant quality, and quite low impurity content.

Application

Potassium silicate has a wide applications, such as

- Inorganic zinc rich paint, inorganic architectural coatings (or mineral coatings) for interior or exterior wall, inorganic corrosion-resistance and fireproof coating;

- Concrete Sealing Hardener;

- welding electrode adhesive, detergent and refractory production etc

200l, 1000L plastic barrel, or according to customers' needs.

Storage

It should be stored in airtight and dry room without direct sunlight, transport and store at 5 ~ 35 ℃.
